It was dark. It was dark. And because of that, there were so many problems. There used to be a lot of thefts, and snakes and dogs would bite. My children couldn't study at night.

RAGHUNATH PRASAD CHAUHAN
Electricity is scarce in Bihar. Most people live in darkness and feel helpless. They don't know whether they will get electricity in their lifetime or not. The light we receive comes from Husk Power Systems. It runs on rice husks. From this plant, we received electricity very early and are happy. We didn't have electricity before the power plant. It has helped a lot toward people's happiness and the local economy. My name is Raghunath Prasad Chauhan. I am a farmer and have four kids. They go to school. I am mostly busy with my work on our farm. I want my children to study and find a good job somewhere. I want my son to be an engineer. Since the electricity came, my children can study, even after the sun goes down. It is also good for business. I used to live in darkness, and now I live in a world full of light. It makes me feel very happy, from the bottom of my heart. What other big power plants couldn't do, this one did. It has gone from dark to light.
