VOICE
How can you manage to score?
MAXWELL FONA
When I attack the goalkeeper, I always shoot the ball where there is no arm. This way!
MAN 1
There's no way he can stop it.
MAXWELL FONA
The goalkeeper has a single arm. So, when I shoot the ball I always aim straight there. I always score a goal.
MAN 1
That's why I always see you score.
MAXWELL FONA
My name's Maxwell Fona, known as "Amputee Kalone"
MAN 1
Now I play in the city with the Amputees' Team. We train every Saturday.
MAXWELL FONA
Where?
MAN 1
At the beach.
MAXWELL FONA
Last month we went to Grassfield. People asked us: how can you play with a single leg? They told their families to come and see us.
MAN 1
Lots of crowd.
MAXWELL FONA
They all said: "These guys are powerful!" They even paid to see us.
MAN 2
The Amputees' Team plays a football match. East against West. At four o'clock. So that we all continue to be in peace in Sierra Leone.
